Best intentions
With no work to go to supposedly equalling more time on my hands, I did think I might be able to write every day but that didn't happen did it. Painting and decorating seems to be dominating my life at the moment. Choosing and sourcing exactly the right item takes a disproportionate amount of time. OK I'm picky, but it is worth it. Slowly but surely we are putting together the house of my dreams. I have found time to start going to a new class, Yogalates. It's what it says on the the tin, a mixture of yoga and Pilates, which I thought was quite a neat trick to get two exercise sessions done in half the time. It's actually rather good and I love the last 5 minutes of relaxing and resting with a lavender eye mask, how indulgent is that. I have to say that I am rather liking this retirement lark so far.....

So this is where it all starts.....
The first day of a new year, in fact the first day of a new life, I have retired.... Retirer, the French verb, means 'to withdraw'. Well maybe I've withdrawn from working, but I have every intention of stepping forward. This is a beginning of the next stage of my life & I want to make the most of it. A big step. Scary and exciting. I have lots to be positive about. I love writing and now maybe I will have time to share my adventures with those of you out there who may just recognise and share some of my experience. Let's see what we discover ........
